Lalson Tools Corporation – DIN 1837 A Slitting Saws
Lalson Tools Corporation offers high-quality DIN 1837 A slitting saws engineered for precision slotting and cutting applications. These fine-tooth HSS circular saw blades are particularly suitable for fragile and hard materials, including steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and plastics.
The A tooth form is especially suitable for thin slitting saw blades with tooth pitches ranging from 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm. Its very sharp cutting edge enables clean, precise cuts, making it an excellent choice for thin-walled profiles and applications where accuracy is essential.
The reduced chip clearance is designed for materials that generate short chips. Since the tooth geometry is optimised for short-chip materials, it is not intended for efficiently removing long chips from the cutting area.
The standard design features hollow grinding and a flange for smooth and accurate cutting. Depending on application requirements, the blades can also be supplied with driving pin holes, a keyway, or the AW tooth form, which incorporates alternate chamfering.
Manufactured with precision to meet DIN 1837 and DIN 1840 requirements, Lalson Tools Corporation’s DIN 1837 A slitting saws provide reliable performance, sharp cutting action, and consistent results in demanding metalworking applications.

Machine: Metalworking and metal processing machines
Characteristics:
- HSS circular slitting saw blades with coarse teeth
- Hollow-ground design with a flange for smooth and precise cutting
- Standardly supplied without driving pin holes or keyway
- C tooth form consists of alternating roughing and finishing teeth
- Roughing teeth are chamfered on both sides and are 0.15–0.30 mm wider than the finishing teeth at the cutting edge

- Hollow-ground according to DIN 1840
Lalson Tools Corporation – DIN 1838 C Slitting Saws
Lalson Tools Corporation manufactures high-quality DIN 1838 C slitting saws designed for demanding industrial cutting and slotting applications. These HSS circular saw blades are engineered to deliver efficient chip removal, reliable cutting performance, and extended tool life.
The C tooth form combines roughing and finishing teeth to improve cutting efficiency. The roughing tooth is chamfered on both sides and is 0.15–0.30 mm wider than the finishing tooth at the cutting edge. This geometry divides the chips into three smaller sections, allowing them to evacuate more efficiently from the cutting area.
Improved chip breaking helps prevent chip accumulation and clogging, reducing the risk of poor tool life, cutting-area blockage, and tooth breakage. These slitting saws are particularly recommended for cutting solid materials and thick-walled profiles where efficient chip evacuation is essential.
Manufactured to precise standards, Lalson Tools Corporation’s DIN 1838 C slitting saws provide a dependable solution for professional metalworking applications requiring high performance and consistent cutting results.

Piston Ring Application
A piston ring is an expandable, split metal ring fitted into a groove around the outer diameter of a piston. It creates a spring-loaded seal between the piston and cylinder wall, helping maintain the required compression and controlling the movement of oil within the engine.
Piston rings play an important role in engine performance. Their primary functions include sealing the combustion chamber, transferring heat from the piston to the cylinder wall, and controlling cylinder-wall lubrication by regulating oil movement back toward the crankcase.
Piston rings are commonly manufactured from cast iron, which offers good strength and dimensional stability under the heat, pressure, and dynamic forces encountered during engine operation. Ring configuration and dimensions vary according to the cylinder material, piston design, and engine application.
Reliable Cutting Performance
Lalson Tools Corporation’s piston ring cutting blades are engineered for accurate and efficient cutting of piston rings, helping manufacturers achieve consistent results and dependable tool performance in precision production environments.
